So much goes into one night like this. From loading in and setting up at Ramova Theater, to running into old chef friends, meeting new ones, sharing family meal, laughing, hugging, and coming together for something bigger than ourselves. Tonight was proof of what can happen when egos are left at the door and community leads the way. Because of everyone who showed up, showed love, and bought a ticket, we raised $100,000 to support 125 families in the city of Chicago who were impacted by ICE, helping provide groceries for the next four to six weeks. Is it everything? No. Is it a start? Absolutely. I am beyond proud of this collective effort. One night, one cause, one city, all heart.
