Happy Monday. I’m celebrating something big. I just wrapped up the James Beard Foundation WEL program and I finally have my certificate of completion. I got into this industry to help my dad. I came from sales and battled real imposter syndrome. I never felt like I belonged in restaurant spaces, but my sales background became my superpower. It taught me how to communicate, how to build relationships, and how to show up with confidence. Because of that, I’ve met so many incredible women in this industry. Chefs, cooks, owner operators. Women who encouraged me to keep learning and who told me to apply to this program. Standing in rooms I once thought I had no business being in means everything to me. I’m proud of this moment and grateful for everyone who helped me get here. Here’s to growth, learning, and not letting imposter syndrome run the show.
