Japan was amazing in every way possible but their public transit system was another level mind blowing with how efficient and timely it was. Experiencing this made me realize how much better public transit COULD BE and how much we are missing out in the US. It improves quality of life, reduces our dependence on cars, and makes cities more accessible for everyone. *japan tip: we got A LOT of use out of Tokyo’s 72 hour subway pass (costs 1500 yen)!
