The best way to save money (and our planet) is to make what you already have last longer. Here are some easy ways to extend the life of your stuff (especially your expensive outdoor gear). 🔧 Patagonia Worn Wear: Patagonia offers free or low-cost repairs on their gear, plus DIY repair guides on their website. Check out their repair kits for patches, zipper fixes, and more! 🩹 Gear patches & tape: Noso, Tenacious Tape, and Gear Aid make durable patches for fixing rips in jackets, tents, and backpacks. ⚙️ Zipper fixes: Stuck zippers? Rub a little wax or chapstick on the teeth to smooth them out. If the slider is broken, zipper repair kits are a thing! 👞 Boot & shoe care: Re-waterproof your hiking boots with Nikwax or Gear Aid Revivex. For my climbing shoes, I get them re-soled 1-2 times before buying another pair. A lot of stuff isn’t built to last anymore BY DESIGN. This is why I like to buy high quality brands that encourage repairing. It brings me extra joy to withhold my money...
