Today I pause in reflection and gratitude as I celebrate another year of life.
Professionally, this year stretched me, affirmed me, and grounded me in my purpose. I traveled the world doing the work I was called to do. I purchased a million dollar commercial property. I became a consultant for Goldman Sachs. I stepped into the role of Director of the Center for Strategic Entrepreneurship at Coppin State University. Most importantly, I invested more deeply into my students, their growth, their futures, and their belief in what is possible.
Personally, life was a roller coaster. Not the kind you brace for, but the kind that forces growth. Through it all, I am most proud of building a stronger relationship with my daughter. Traveling through Europe with her was exhilarating, grounding, and unforgettable. Those moments reminded me why I do the work I do and who truly matters.
This year I also exercised my free will. I used the word no more often. I expanded my boundaries. I chose myself...
