My sweet, sweet first baby. The one who made me a mama.
I thought motherhood would be the phase in life that I was doing ALL the teaching but I realized that I do just as much learning.
So here are six things Carter has taught me (or reaffirmed for me).
1. Stay curious - always ask questions, always be willing to learn something new.
2. Be confident in you and stand firm in that - as Carter likes to say to others “you can be wrong if you want to.” (And then he proceeds to go about his business, no arguments necessary)
3. Stay silly - the biggest smile is always plastered on this kid’s face. It’s infectious
4. Even when things are hard, keep trying. He is FINALLY reading but the amount of time he puts in to do so… ooft. Boy never stops practicing the things he doesn’t get the first try.
5. Help others - if you see someone needs help, is crying, lonely or sad, be a listening ear, ask what’s wrong or invite them in. (He’s the sweetest boy)
6. Family first. Carter is in love with hi...
