Here are three simple habits that build real financial confidence, especially in your 20s…
1. Treat savings like a fixed expense.
Set up automatic transfers, the same way your rent or insurance hits each month. When your savings become automatic, confidence grows because you know you’re always saving towards the future.
2. Do a weekly spending check-in.
Just do it once a week… you don’t need to do it after every purchase.
Look at what came in, what went out, and what patterns are showing up. This small routine keeps you be aware without feeling micromanaged. Awareness for me is what reduces my stress the most.
3. Improve one category at a time.
Not your whole life, not everything at once. Pick one variable category (dining out, shopping, groceries) and focus on that for a month. Small changes are more realistic and likely to stick longer.
This is general financial education, but these habits have helped make my money feel calmer in stressful times🤍
