I was actually so SO nervous to ask to compensate my overwork hours at my new job 😬 I don’t actually get to count my overwork hours at my new job but I decided that I had done a lot 👩‍🔬 I trained my colleagues to take over in my absence 🧪 and I was generally just exhausted 🥱 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ So I walked up to my boss, ready to put up a fight if need be 🤓 and he just agreed with me 👀 like “yes of course you should take some time off after working so hard” and “I really appreciate all the extra time and effort you’ve put in, now take a break and relax” 😨 and I just stood there with my mouth open like a fish not knowing what to do 🐟 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ So I said “okay, cool” and walked away 😂 and that was it 🤯 my academic trauma didn’t know how to cope with it… I didn’t think it was really happening for so long even when my day off arrived 😬 Like it could be retracted at any moment and everyone would laugh at me for thinking it was real 🙈 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ But it is real!!
