Vulnerable post!! 🥺 Please be nice! 🥹 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ My post yesterday had me reflecting on the end of my PhD 🎓 And this moment popped up into my head 🧠 It was a really crazy time for me 😵‍💫 I had just started my new job in industry 👩‍🔬 Trying to learn a new subject and new work culture 🥼 But also trying to prepare as well as I possibly could to defend the science I had been working on for the past 5.5 years 🫨 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ It took everything I had 🥺 And I really felt like I was working 2 jobs at once 🥸 because I kinda was 😬 40h a week at my day job and all other hours of the night and weekend on my “passion project” (seeing as I wasn’t getting paid for my PhD anymore) 🙈 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ Eventually the nerves just got to me and I cried 😭 But I somehow managed to hide it 🤫 which I’m not sure I would recommend now but I know why I did it in the moment so I understand if that’s what you would do too 😅 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ I’m really happy my defense is done now 😊 and I’ll never have to worry about my ...
