Running 30km a week doesn’t mean you have to lose muscle. Here are 3 of the basics: 1. Eat enough! Especially carbs and protein. Carbs fuel your runs and workouts, protein helps you keep your muscle. If you’re in a calorie deficit, your body will be getting smaller. And if you’re under-eating carbs and protein, retaining muscle will be much harder. 2. Don’t neglect your gym performance I think this is the cornerstone of muscle retention because it’s the stimulus. Your body keeps muscle because you’re giving it a reason to. If your strength is going down, your muscle is probably next. Also… stop running right before lifting. Your lifts will likely suffer. 3. Take recovery seriously If you’re always tired, your training quality drops. And when training quality drops, so do your results. Sleep more. Recover better. (And aim for better sleep scores. 😂) Drop a ❤️ if this helped and hit follow for more hybrid training & nutrition tips! #CoachEnzo #MisterPilipinasWorldwide #Running #Bod...
