Yesterday was nothing short of extraordinary. Our Raising Baby event reminded us of the power of showing up—for each other, for our youth, and for ourselves. This day was created to bring expectant and parenting foster youth together in community—to educate, support, and provide them with essentials for both themselves and their children. And that’s exactly what happened. We shared space. We shared stories. We learned. A personal highlight for me was listening to Dr. Kanchi, who led us through a powerful session on building resilience and rewriting our narratives. Her wisdom, warmth, and honesty left a lasting impact on all of us. Our volunteers lovingly cared for the babies and kids, and the incredible dads received the support they deserve through Project Fatherhood. Together, we explored essential topics: baby milestones, post-partum care, parenting, and mental health and well-being.
