GReddy is a household name in the JDM aftermarket car community in Southern California, but less people know about Trust. Which are one and the same! Trust is the original Japanese parent company, started in 1977 based in Chiba. The company makes performance and tuning parts like exhausts, turbos, cooling kits and electronics that might display either names depending on where the products are sold. In the 90’s when Trust expanded overseas and couldn’t use the trademark, GReddy was born! It was really special to tag along with Larry and the crew on a trip to Trust before we attended Tokyo Auto Salon and go to see some of the cars they built for the show, and the cars on property that they’re working on.
