Thank you to the LA Times for letting me absolutely queen out with the 5-year-olds at #FestivalofBooks ! This was my first time reading I Am Not A Vampire aloud to a group of pre-K to 1st graders -and y’all, they LOVED it. I was fully prepared to ditch the book and start talking about Bluey if I had to, but bugboyriley ‘s cozy, autumnal art style had everyone captivated.
