The College’s Residential Education and Housing has introduced a new policy providing temporary housing for juniors and seniors who missed signing up for apartments or townhouses. These students will be housed on the first floor of Decker Hall and given the chance to move into upperclassmen housing when spaces become available due to student withdrawals (“melt”). Previously, upperclassmen without a spot were not offered temporary on-campus housing.
Currently, 28 upperclassmen are placed in Decker Hall, but this will not impact sophomore housing availability. Residential Education Director Tina Tormey is confident that most of these students will be relocated as spaces open up.
