This morning I had the honour of joining Steven Quinn on CBC’s Early Edition for a panel discussion on what it truly means to be a young person living in Surrey. 🎙️ We spoke about: • Affordability 🏠 – how rising costs are shaping our decisions about education, housing, and whether we can realistically build a future in the city we grew up in.�• Transportation 🚆 – the gaps young people navigate daily, and how mobility directly impacts opportunity.�• Public safety & the extortion crisis ⚖️ – the realities our communities are facing, and the need for proactive solutions.�• Education & opportunity 🎓 – ensuring young people are not only heard, but invested in. What stood out most was this: young people are not disengaged. We are deeply aware. We are thoughtful.
