I had the chance to visit a Surrey Elementary School to give a presentation about something I wish more of us were taught early on… CONFIDENCE 💛 We spent the afternoon talking about what it really means to believe in yourself, how to speak up even when it’s scary, and how being kind to yourself can change the way you see the world. I genuinely couldn’t stop smiling after hearing what these young bright individuals had to say. Seeing how they came out of their shells and started to become comfortable during our workshop activity made elementary school me the proudest little gal ever!!! At the end, a young girl came up to me quietly and said, “I usually don’t like to talk in front of my class… but today I did, and it actually felt good.” It’s moments like that that remind me why I do what I do, because every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and confident in who they are. I want to be very clear, our classrooms aren’t just for learning math or science, they’re where courage...
