Grief changes you in ways you never expect. I used to keep our Christmas decorations up from November through the end of January, but I just can’t anymore. I work so hard to keep the magic alive for my living son, Breckett. By the time Christmas is over, I’m emotionally spent. Taking everything down feels like closing a chapter. I did it.
