What a weekend. Sitting here by the pool decompressing while Carter and a bunch of little kids splash the heck out of me… and I can’t help but reflect on the past two days. They’ve been absolutely amazing. A lot of people get confused about my love for the Savannah Bananas and the entire Banana Ball organization, but my goodness… it’s made such an impact on my life in the best way. The way this organization truly puts Fans First is something special. From players signing autographs until their fingers practically fall off, to honoring veterans and teachers, to watching people get engaged on the field, to bringing in local sports stars and creating unforgettable moments for fans. And seeing it through Carter’s eyes made it even better. My eight-year-old, Banana-loving boy had the absolute best time… and getting to watch him go out on the field and play catch was such a special moment. Those are the memories that stick.
