Today I visited the mom and pop’s NUA Beverly Hills, a modern Mediterranean restaurant bringing fresh, Tel Aviv inspired flavors to the heart of the Golden Triangle on Crescent Drive. The menu is built around clean, vibrant, ingredient driven cooking, executed with precision and a thoughtful touch. One of my personal obsessions here is the Arayes, spiced ground beef grilled inside a perfectly crisp pita and served with tahini and schug. Simple, authentic, and consistently exceptional. Other standouts include the Shuk Salad, fresh and balanced; the Butterflied Branzino with roasted vegetables; and the Israeli Breakfast, a complete and beautifully presented spread. The Shipud is another highlight: a generous skewer of marinated chicken thighs served over a warm tortilla with beetroot tahina, offering tender, well seasoned chicken complemented by the earthy sweetness of the tahini.
