SO many people have DM’d me asking where in Chiang Mai is this!? It seems like this location is now only known among Thai travelers. 📍The area is called Doi Mon Ngo: located in Mae Taeng district (on the way to Pai) I highly recommend staying at this camping site called Khao Lang Tao. You can find the details of this exact location in the link in my bio. My thoughts: 1. They have the best viewpoint in the area (after riding my bike around, I do believe that’s the most amazing spot!). 2. It’s cheaper than other hotels/homestays, but of course, it doesn’t come with the best facilities. 3. The host is very knowledgeable and accommodating. They took me to the peak and told me some interesting history about this place. ps. you should buy some food/snacks before heading there. If you rent a cabin, it comes with a huge set of home-cooked breakfast. I think they can also cook other meals for you if you ask (with extra fees, of course). ps.2 DTAC phone signal is available.
