Michael Eugene Archer, better known as D'Angelo, was truly a gifted artist whose sound was a beautiful, rhythmic blend of R&B and jazzy soulful undertones (which we now know as Neo-Soul) much like Spanish Joint, which is one of my absolute favorites next to Nothing Even Matters with Lauren Hill. I still remember the controversial video How Does It Feel when it first dropped. To me it was reminiscent of Prince's video When Doves Cry. It had people wondering were they totally nude or not?! Music that you remember not only because of the guitars, melodies, or the seductive voices, but also because of the visual interpretations of their music and style.
