Knowing what's going on inside is just as important, if not more, than what's going on outside. How our bodies function inside can greatly affect how well we function on a daily basis. It was only through blood work that I was able to discover what appears to be an autoimmune disorder of my thyroid known as Hashimoto Thyroidism. Although I had already been taking a supplement for hypothyroidism, it wasn't enough. Getting on the scale in the morning was becoming something I dreaded. My weight really wasn't moving, regardless of changes in my diet. My blood pressure numbers were off. My narcolepsy was getting worse.
