I recognize that not every day is going to be rainbows and puppies, but here were some consistent signs I was starting to lose my spark at different points over the past few years:
1. Spend 10+ hours on the couch multiple days a week doomscrolling on social media or watching dramas
2. Packing my weeks to the point I had no personal time to process things happening in my life
3. Laugh a lot with my friends but feel super empty when alone
4. Preferring alone time and solo trips while dating someone
5. Traveling every 2 weeks to avoid facing realities at home
6. Panic & anxiety attacks & crying for no reason
7. Doing the bare minimum to get by at work
To get my spark back, I’ve had to sit myself down and be really honest with myself about why I was feeling that way. I know it’s a lot easier said than done and I completely resonate if this is you, but if not you, then who, right?
I’ve learned to let go of some things, pivot from software engineering to cybersecurity, transfer teams...
