I’ve been asked recently “How did the pencil marks disappear?” Then I remembered a few artworks I’ve seen in the past where some parts were showing pencil marks. Thing is, once you’ve painted on paper, it would be difficult to erase pencil marks. At least that’s my experience. So how do I do it? I don’t 😂 If you’ll go back a couple of posts you’ll see a glimpse of my process for this purple tulip. In the beginning, the pencil marks were very evident. I didn’t sketch light, I also didn’t use a kneaded eraser before I drenched the paper in water. But as I painted layers into the paper, you’ll see the pencil marks slowly vanishing.
