I moved out at 18 with a full scholarship ride to university and I always encourage others especially first gen girls to try it out. So here are the steps that make that move real, even if money or circumstances feel impossible! 1. Apply to every scholarship you can. Local ones, school-specific ones, identity-based ones, random essay ones, all of it. Start as early as possible!! I got my full ride my sophomore year of highschool so I was set at 16.
