Your iPhone is NOT private in the UK 😳🚨 Here’s what’s happening ⤵️ Earlier this year, the UK government pressured Apple to remove Advanced Data Protection, the strongest form of end-to-end encryption for iCloud. 👉 With end-to-end encryption, only you hold the keys. 👉 Without it, Apple holds the keys. That means your iCloud backups photos, notes, files, even messages if they’re in your backup, can be handed over if law enforcement asks. So no, the government can’t “live spy” on your phone. But your stored data in iCloud is no longer truly private in the UK. In August, the UK backed down on its demand for a permanent backdoor. But Apple hasn’t yet restored the feature… which means for now, if you’re in the UK, your iCloud backups aren’t protected with full end-to-end encryption. Comment below what you think about this!
