When you work with a manager that provides little to no direction and uses a lot of gaslighting to deflect from their lack of knowledge (or laziness), you start to realize something. That realization is that in many leadership roles confidence is often mistaken for competence. Sometimes the higher up the ladder they rise has little to do with actually being qualified or even able to lead.
