I haven’t been to my PhD department in-person since 2020…and I came back to a huge painting of me on the wall 🥹🥰🫂 It feels bittersweet to see myself on the wall because the last time I stepped foot in my department I thought I was going to quit. I felt out of place and unseen so it was time for a break. I felt defeated trying to prove the need for creativity in doctoral projects. So seeing myself on the wall in art form????!! I’m not back, IM BETTER!!!!! Thank you aprilj222 for inspiring me to put creativity at the fore front of my work as a PhD student. Thank you for seeing me at the time and translating that into art. I love being your muse!!
