It really has! I'm not the most confident person but I definitely gained more confidence from doing DIY SOS, putting myself out of my comfort zone, not to mention all the new skills I've picked up, and the friendships too! It all started when I saw Jasmine's @_ohabode Instagram story, where she was signing up to the trades day for the @bbcdiysos Essex build in 2023... We'd never met in person until day 1 of the build, although we lived fairly close. And we've been DIY buds ever since 😊 We like to confuse some of the tradies as they thought we were full time joiners 🤫😅 It also led to working with @lukejmillard on an episode of his own show! And gave me the opportunity to try some of the trades tools and made me want to invest in a track saw!
