It’s hard to beat a small town with big main character energy. Carbondale’s got it all; starting with the farmer’s market that highkey outshines half the Midwest. Folks were pulling up with refrigerators full of produce, some of the freshest vegetables ive ever seen and we even found coffee and almost adopted a dog. So basally it’s a playground for adults and I’m ok with that lol. But the real trap? The Amish pastries. One bite and we forgot all our responsibilities. If hotels aren’t your vibe, there are plenty of cute cabins and tiny homes — plus more scenic trails than our legs were ready for. The Green Earth Oakland Preserve Trails served as the perfect location to burn off those pastry pounds.
