The kind where old fears come knocking, the kind that wakes me up crying in the middle of the night. The kind that tests what you’re standing on. And in the middle of it all, my husband has been my safe place. Not because life feels secure in every way, but because he is. He meets my fears with compassion, not judgment. He picks up the slack when I’m too tired to carry my part. He points me to Jesus and prays with me until my fear is met with peace.
