Nothing has ever so deeply held my gaze as has these Himalayan peaks. Nothing has ever evoked reverence, awe and gratitude as much as being able to go to these higher altitudes and tread on these sacred grounds. Nothing has ever commanded such respect in me as these towering beings. I never can look at these ranges as inanimate objects made of just rock, mud and stone.
