A sidewalk becomes a runway. The old corner becomes a checkpoint. A row of windows turns into enemy watchtowers. And a puddle? That’s obviously a portal to an alternate universe with your reflected doppelganger waiting to pounce if you dare cross over. No destination. No schedule. No reason to go home until hunger, boredom, or the streetlights announce the end of the expedition. Protected by imagination & unearned confidence out there guarding the corner from absolutely nothing. (But committed.) Layers. The lesson here is layers. Simple basic layering in Photoshop. From the back to front: One layer for the corner behind, one for its reflection, one for the ray-gun pink, one for the boy on the bike, one for his reflection, one for the sketch effect and hand-drawing, one for the texture.
