Service at the Lutheran Church, Yola. 🕊️ Some fun facts: Both my mum and my mother-in-law attended this church (and were on a “sister” basis) longgg before their children (we) met. My mum passed two years before I met my husband, and almost four years before our wedding. 😇🥰 Our mums are also from the same tribe and both worked at the same institution (FUTY, Yola). They were genuinely sisterly before mummy passed, but we weren’t exactly “family friends.” We met a couple of times simply as “Prof. Vicky’s” daughter—but she had no clue I would one day become a (junior) Mrs. Mbidomti and bear her grandchildren. 😆😃❤️ Today, we did something very small to mark the 20-year memorial of my beloved father-in-law, whom I never got to meet.
