When the UCC bill is about to be passed in the Gujarat Assembly, today on the day of Ramzan Eid, AIMIM party workers staged a protest outside the city’s Jumma Masjid in Ahmedabad. Protests were held by displaying banners with slogans like “Remove UCC, save the country, repeal UCC”. The protest was held without police permission. Due to which the police detained all the people and took them away. ‘It is against the culture of the country’ The woman who came to protest said that we have gathered today to protest against UCC, our Sharia does not say so. We demand the government to repeal UCC. UCC was not opposed in Uttarakhand, but we live in Gujarat, so we will oppose it here in Gujarat.
