I couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as I walked through Pike Place Market. The bustling vendors, the colorful array of fruits and vegetables, and the tantalizing smells all reminded me of a market from my childhood: El Mercado Principal in Merida, Venezuela. As a kid, I would often accompany my mother to the market on weekends. We would make our way through the crowded aisles, stopping to delicious pastelitos and sip on refreshing Vitaminas. The vendors were always so friendly and welcoming, and the energy of the market was infectious. Those memories had created a special bond with myself and my experiences at @pikeplacepublicmarket . Even though the two markets were on opposite sides of the world, they felt so similar. The sights and sounds were different, but the feeling of community and connection was the same.the market, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of longing for the days of my childhood. I missed the warmth of the sun on my skin and the taste of my mother’s homema...
