While today is a sacred time to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, I also choose to celebrate those who live with purpose, passion, and power. On this Memorial Day, I pause to honor, celebrate, and express deep gratitude for my pastor, my @morehouse1867 brother, and my friend — Pastor @mikewalrond . Today, I celebrate his birthday, his unwavering leadership, his tremendous impact, and his steadfast commitment to excellence. I honor his indomitable fortitude and the spirit with which he continues to advance and embody the love of God and the example of The Carpenter. And I thank his wife, my @spelman_college sister @drlakeesha and beautiful children for sharing him with us.
