🪦 Fire, brimstone, and a bit of northern charm, welcome to York Minster, where even the ghosts march in formation.
From Roman legions to Viking bones, 12th-century doomstones to 15th-century technicolour sin panels, this place isn’t just a cathedral, it’s a full-blown historical soap opera carved in stone and stained glass.
And yes, it took 252 years to build. Because Yorkshire doesn’t rush perfection.
💀 Haunted? Absolutely.
🎨 Great East Window? Bigger and badder than the Sistine Chapel (I said what I said).
This is why I’m completely obsessed with the North: it’s dramatic, it’s unapologetically old, and it tells its stories with legendary flair. I can’t wait to head back and dive deeper into Yorkshire and beyond. The ghosts are calling, and frankly, so is the pie. 🥧👻
