Did you know that you can visit the iconic stairs from the horror film, ‘The Exorcist’? 👻 Hidden in Georgetown in Washington D.C., sandwiched between buildings, is one of the most iconic staircases in cinema history. These 75 steps have been associated with demonic possession since 1973, when the character Father Karras, after taking in the demon, throws himself out the window and tumbles to his death on the staircase below. Despite the staircase being padded, there was no way this stunt was comfortable, and poor stuntman, Chuck Waters, had to perform it twice. But the result is one of the most memorable scenes in a film that has been terrifying audiences for 50 years and has remained one of my favorites since seeing it at 7 years old.
