I am applying to 27
#phd programs:
I have had over two years to explore programs and interests, gather information and work experience, and try to convince myself to actually apply. I am so grateful to finally be submitting applications!
Some general thoughts:
***Most people don't know during a phD you actually get PAID to go to school!
***You get what you put in.
Tools + Methodologies I’m using to stay organized:
- Google Sheets to organize applications + deadlines.
- Asana to track recommendation emails. I created an
#asanaworkflow to send a ping whenever I get a recommendation update.
-
#pomodoro timers if you need help staying on task for a set amount of time.
***Build a support system.
***Your recommenders put incredible effort into writing your recommendations and submitting the content to each university.
You might succeed in a
#phd program if you are self-motivated, research-oriented, insatiably curious, and want to contribute to the world’s knowledge.
WHATEVE...
