A couple weeks ago I stepped WAY out of my comfort zone and was in my first ever fishing tournament (fly fishing at that 😬). The first annual mwladyred in Charleston, SC…a ladies redfish on fly tourney! I can’t thank my captain guslapin enough for pushing me around for two long days & giving me soooo many shots at redfish even though I never got one to the boat. He seriously worked his ass off & was cheering me on till the last second! 👏 Keep in mind, I had only caught one redfish on fly prior to this! This tourney I learned the hard way about why not to “trout set” a redfish! 😆 While I didn’t get a red on the board this time, SO many ladies caught their first redfish on fly & that made my heart so happy! It was just this past May that I got that “first red on fly feeling” & it sure is special! Congrats bredrake on your win!!!
