It’s a special day today! 🎉 5 years ago today I caught my first trout! It was a Native Appalachian Brook Trout on a dry fly in the most beautiful location! I was still living in South Florida at the time and was up in Asheville visiting my parents. Little did I know I’d be living in the mountains now! I complain ALL the time about how much I miss living on the beach and saltwater fishing. But I will admit….chasing these tiny native brookies in the most gorgeous, remote places is something not a lot of people get to do or are willing to do & I am grateful.
