It’s like @natgeo up in here! 🐍🐟 Snake eats Wild Trout! 👀 Let me first say….I am NOT a snake fan! However, I’ve been wade fishing these WNC mountain streams for about 3 years now, so I’m slowly becoming more comfortable around them. I refuse to watch anyone feed their pet snake, but I found watching this snake attack and feed off a Native Appalachian Brook Trout strangely intriguing. It’s the first time I’ve seen a snake feed in the wild before. The Brookie was definitely alive when it was caught & not just a dead easy meal. Since I began fishing (and more so since fly fishing) I have a new appreciation for all things nature. I feel so in tune with it. I find myself spending as much time observing my surroundings as I do fishing! I’m not going to lie…seeing my favorite trout that’s so special to our state in the snakes mouth upset me for a couple seconds. But then I couldnt stop watching!
