Didn’t catch many this weekend, but it wasn’t really about the catching. I explored water alone that was new to me….having to boulder hop & all! I went to two streams…one a native brookie stream…the other a wild rainbow and brown stream. BUT SOMEHOW….I managed to catch my first tiger trout (a rarity in NC)!!! It was the only trout I caught all day! I can’t believe I’ve never fished this area! The terrain was definitely challenging, but fishing cascade to another cascade in the midst of the prettiest green moss you could dream of left me in a special place!
