This is what it’s all about folks! Lighting that spark in the younger generation. Also, showing young girls, that yes it is “cool” to fish! 😎 . Yesterday, I was honored to be a volunteer river helper/mentor for beccasueklein crkeeper “All Kids Fish” Event! The kids were all given gift bags with awesome gear as well as a new fly rod set up! 🤗 I was paired up with LuLu, 13, for the day! The kids had classes in entomology, conservation, knot tying and casting. After a yummy lunch all of us hit the river, to see what the kids had learned! Obviously, it takes many years to become great at fly fishing (and you never know it all)….but yesterday we were just trying to light that spark! . I think I was just excited as LuLu when she hooked and landed this beauty bow her first time trying a streamer!!! Kid knows more than me! 😜🥰 I’ll have more pics later! .
