Been trying to give the trout a break in this heat & find other species to target! I haven’t had much luck 😅 Let’s consider that I’m still fairly new to the Asheville area & don’t really know where to fly fish by foot for bass! It’s not like going pond hopping by foot for lunkers like when I lived in South Florida! Here is a throwback from about 3 years ago (when visiting Asheville) of my first “smallie”……it was definitely small 😅, but I had so much fun! I’ve only caught one more since, but none since I officially moved here!!!!! Hopefully, I will get my revenge on them tonight! I’m going to the only spot by foot I know (but always skunks me 😅).
