Switched things up & hit the lake instead of the river! I’d been slacking on bass fishing bad! Believe it or not, I think this is only my 2nd bass on fly since I moved to Asheville a year ago! Def not the giants I was used to catching living in South Florida! 😅 There just aren’t many public places to fish for them by foot around here! About a week or so ago, I found this beautiful neighborhood lake where you can easily sight fish by foot for several species! Caught a few little bass and several different kinds of panfish- I’m clueless about their names bc I never fish for them 😅 They sure do put up a fun little fight! now I wanna get a 1wt rod/reel setup! I also hear there are carp in the lake! That is def a goal of mine on fly!
