In reflection of all the ways in which we choose to celebrate women, today and every day, I went back and reflected on the epic day that we gathered as the first country outside of US to partipate in xojsmn’s powerful movement unity_in_color in solidarity with the global community that Jasmine in her incredibly magnetic way pulled together and continues to bring to life. Back in 2017 my foundation togetherwi_ facilitated this activation, and today Together WI builds the bridge that allows for the spool.community engagement with the el_bid where we continue to carve a path for women through financial independence & skills training in the fashion & carnival industries. Both then and now I feel energized by the power we have when we are in community with one another, and as I get older I find myself surrendering more and more to the tremendous value of my relationship with the women in my life.
