Our Carnival is an opening to an unparalleled and unexplainable feeling of freedom and exhilaration. Anyone who has experienced it will do their best to convince you of that! But it’s just one of those things you have to do to understand. . This year it’s absence left room for us to mourn a certain type of exhalation from life’s challenges, but in so doing created space for urgent and unavoidable conversation, and gave us the opportunity to feel more deeply and more truthfully than we normally would allow. . Let us not let this opportunity go to waste... the absence of carnival has made it possible for us to deepen the work needed for women in this country to be truly free. .
