Instead of cash, he took a bet: a commissioned piece whose value, tied to time, was expected to square the debt. This is the eighth custom piece I have designed, an evolution of a prior ring, refined to Jeff’s taste by intensifying its accent surface treatment while maintaining the classic signet form. Its striated, bio-symmetrical detailing draws inspiration from Alex Garland and Jeff VanderMeer’s “Annhilation”.
